When people think of Yoga, they often see a variety of images of people holding intriguing looking postures called Asanas but, what is Asana and where does it come from?

Asana is the physical practice of “Yoga” and relates to the body's ability to restore, cleanse and bring balance to mind and body through a means of intentional movement.

Why bother to explore more depth behind the pose?

Because understanding the Science behind Yoga Asanas and its History opens up the doors for a much richer and fulfilled practice.

Yoga becomes less about trying to put your foot behind your head and becomes something more meaningful and mindful - focusing on the Quality of asana not Quantity.

Asana, when understood and respected, can be utilised as a tool to restore balance, cleanse the material body, and bring you into a higher state of awareness in oneself.

In this workshop you will learn the basic foundation of Asana, History of Asana, Discover One of the First Asana Routines over 5,000+ years old, learn the Science behind the pose and quickly experience the power behind each posture to bring mental clarity, physical clarity, spiritual clarity and liberation from physical attachments and mental chatter.
